About

Jared Vardaman is a Christian singer/songwriter from Clinton, Mississippi. After accepting Christ at the age of 6, Jared spent much of his childhood singing in churches and venues across the southeast with his family’s gospel group, The Vardamans. He was eleven years old when he felt the call on his life to pursue music ministry, and at twelve he found his love for songwriting. His debut album, Standing Firm, includes ten original songs written by Jared throughout the years.

Jared has opened for and performed with numerous well-known country and gospel acts including The Blackwood Brothers, The Gatlin Brothers, The Kingsmen, Gold City, the Down East Boys, the Lefevre Quartet, Soul’d Out, and the Gaither Vocal Band.

After high school, he pursued a degree in Communications and a minor in Music from Mississippi College, and was featured on numerous albums by Mississippi College Worship Collective, of which he was a member for almost four years.

For three years he served as the worship pastor at Springfield Baptist Church, acting as lead singer and music director of Springfield Worship, the church’s worship ministry. Jared travelled with the popular Mississippi-based OneWay Quartet for two years as lead vocalist and pianist. After marrying the love of his life, Mary Kate, he chose to come off the road to take the position of Worship Pastor at Liberty Baptist Church in Flowood, MS.

His musical style is rooted deeply in southern gospel, but strongly reflects country, rock, and modern worship influences. He is known for his energetic onstage performances, impressive vocal range and agility, but most of all for his sincere heart for encouraging God’s people and relaying the Gospel message throughout every performance.
